Enhanced Safety Measures in Quincy Parks Ahead of Summer
The Quincy Police Department is ramping up patrols across parks, playgrounds, and popular youth gathering spots. This proactive measure aims to deter criminal activities that tend to surge with the onset of good weather, such as vandalism, property destruction, assaults, thefts, and underage drinking.
To combat these challenges, the department encourages community members to report suspicious activities by calling 617-479-1212 or dialing 9-1-1 for emergencies. These increased patrols aim to ensure the safety of young individuals, maintain neighborhood tranquility, and preemptively address potential violence or criminal behavior.
The Quincy Police Department is committed to preserving the safety and accessibility of the city’s parks and green spaces, ensuring they remain welcoming for all visitors.
Classical Afternoon at Thomas Crane Library
The Thomas Crane Public Library invites the community to a delightful Sunday afternoon concert in the historic Richardson Building. On April 7, from 3 to 4 PM, attendees will be treated to the exquisite musical talents of Scott Woolweaver on viola and Lynn Salmonsen on piano.
This concert is made possible through the generous support of the Friends of the Thomas Crane Public Library.
