Quincy’s Elder Services Director Placed on Leave Amid Internal Investigation
The City of Quincy, Massachusetts, has placed Tom Clasby, the Director of Elder Services, on paid administrative leave pending the results of an internal investigation. Christopher Walker, the Chief of Staff to the Quincy mayor, confirmed this action, stating that the investigation is examining adherence to city policies and procedures. Specific details regarding the nature of the investigation were not disclosed.
The Department of Elder Services, where Clasby serves, is known for its commitment to supporting the elderly community by offering various services. Quincy is set to host its 3rd Annual Multicultural Festival in a festive celebration of global cultures, in partnership with Quincy Public Schools. The event is scheduled for May 11th, from noon to 4 p.m. at Pageant Field, promising a day filled with rich cultural experiences.
This year's event, themed "More Culture, More Beauty, More Music, More Fun," will feature an array of performances, diverse culinary offerings, and engaging activities.

Winthrop/Quincy Ferry: New Season Schedule and Fares Announced
The Winthrop/Quincy ferry has announced its updated schedule for the season, featuring 13 daily trips on weekdays. This expanded service will connect Winthrop, Quincy, Logan Airport, and the downtown Boston area at Aquarium / Central Wharf (South). The increased routes are part of an initiative to enhance connectivity between these locations, offering direct trips from Quincy to Boston and extended service to the Seaport. The ferry service is set to operate from April 29th through November 30th.
For those planning their commutes or trips, detailed schedules are available at the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority website.
Regarding fares, a one-way ticket on the Winthrop ferry costs $6.50, with a reduced fare of $3.25 available for eligible riders. Payments can be made through the mTicket app or with cash directly on the ferry. Additionally, Commuter Boat or Commuter Rail Zone 1 (or higher) passes and M7 cards are accepted.
