QNQ Jazz's Stellar Performance Secures Spot in State Finals
For the first time in the school's history, the QNQ Jazz Ensemble has been invited to the MAJE State Finals, marking a significant milestone for the program. Under the expert guidance of Mr. Cavanaugh, the ensemble's performance at the MAJE competition in Reading garnered a high effort score, securing their place in the state finals. This achievement is a testament to the dedication and talent of the ensemble and its director.
The ensemble's exceptional performance did not go unnoticed, as individual musicians received outstanding musicianship awards. Sophomore Tenor Saxophonist Nathan Aronoff, Sophomore Bassist Dave Jean-Philippe, and Senior Vibraphonist Lyna Dang were recognized for their exceptional contributions to the ensemble's success. These awards highlight the individual talents within the group and underscore the ensemble's collective excellence.

Northeast Sports Card Expo: A Collector's Paradise Coming to Quincy
The Northeast Sports Card Expo is set to captivate sports card enthusiasts and collectors alike on Saturday, March 23, and Sunday, March 24, 2024. This premier event, one of the largest of its kind in the region, will unfold over two days at the Marriott Boston Quincy, providing attendees with an unparalleled experience in the world of sports cards and memorabilia.
Spanning an impressive 26,000 square feet of exhibition space, the expo will feature over 180 vendor tables. Participants can expect a vast collection of both new and vintage sports cards, alongside a variety of non-sports and Pokémon cards. Additionally, sports memorabilia enthusiasts will find plenty to explore and cherish. The event will also offer unique opportunities for meet-and-greet autograph signings with sports legends, allowing fans to connect with their heroes in person.
Adding to the excitement, the expo will provide on-site card-grading services, helping collectors determine the value and condition of their prized possessions. Attendees can also look forward to exciting prize raffles, with more information about the event and its features to be announced soon.
