Dairy Freeze to Scoop Up Smiles with Seasonal Opening on March 15

Dairy Freeze, a beloved local ice cream parlor, is set to welcome the spring season by reopening its doors to the public on Friday, March 15. As a harbinger of warmer weather, Dairy Freeze's opening day is eagerly anticipated by the community each year, marking a sweet transition from the cold, bleak winter to the promise of sunny days ahead. The establishment is renowned for its wide variety of flavors, ranging from classic favorites to innovative new concoctions, catering to all tastes.

Quincy High Football Honors Stars at Banquet, Launches Bob Noble MVP Award

In a heartfelt ceremony brimming with community spirit and recognition, the Quincy High Football Boosters celebrated the achievements of its young athletes during the 2023 football banquet held at Sons Of Italy in Quincy. Highlighting the event was the significant renaming of the MVP award to the Bob Noble MVP Award, in honor of Bob Noble's vast contributions not only to football but to the entire school community. Scott Campbell eloquently shared the reasons behind the award's renaming, touching on Noble's influential role.

Among the night's awardees was Kevin Gray, who not only had the honor of being the first recipient of the newly named Bob Noble MVP Award but also clinched the Defensive Player of the Year 2023 title. Gavin Regan was recognized as the Thanksgiving Day Defensive Player of the Game 2023, while Gabe Rodriguez took home the Patriot League Scholar Athlete Award, and Ashton Harris was celebrated with the Patriot League Sportsmanship Award. Both Rodriguez and Gray were additionally lauded as Patriot League All Stars.

The ceremony also spotlighted the achievements of up-and-coming talents, including Gavin O'Hare, who was named Freshmen Most Improved Player of 2023, and Owen Desmond, who received the Thanksgiving Day Offensive Player of the Game 2023 accolade. Justin Santos and Leo Steinberg were recognized for their improvements and contributions to the junior varsity team, while Joshua Cannon received accolades for being the Most Improved Varsity Player of the Year 2023.

Further honors were awarded to Ashton Harris for the Coaches Award, Felipe Ducioni for the Jack Weir Pride Award, and Gabe Rodriguez for Offensive Player of the Year. William Lanergan, Oliver Levine, and Johjoe Ham were also recognized for their exceptional contributions in their respective roles.

The evening was a testament to the spirit of camaraderie, excellence, and tradition within the Quincy High School football community, celebrating not just the athletes' on-field achievements but their character, leadership, and dedication off the field as well.
