Quincy Man Pleads Guilty to Multi-Million Dollar Bank Fraud Scheme

A Quincy man, Hui Zhang, has confessed to conducting a bank fraud scheme, illegally netting over $1 million by depositing counterfeit checks into fraudulently opened bank accounts. The fraudulent activity, which took place between June 2020 and May 2022, has led to Zhang's guilty plea to bank fraud charges, with sentencing scheduled for late May 2024. His crimes could result in up to 30 years in prison, highlighting the serious repercussions of such fraudulent activities.
